FUN
WITH SHAKESPEARE This class is a must for those who want to understand
the language of Shakespeare. Uncover not only the simple truths of
the written word, but the complexities of style and interpretation that
make these plays timeless, fun, astounding and probably the greatest
ever written in any language let alone English. Perform actual scenes
from plays, while receiving analysis from your teacher and classmates.
You should know, a minimum of two hours per week rehearsal time outside
of class is not only a must, but important to your success!

IMPROVISATION WORKSHOP
In this workshop students will utilize Theatre Games,
the Harold Technique, and Johnstone’s status work, in order to create
short, realized scenes. Improvisation is much more than just going for
the joke, and this introductory workshop will benefit the students by
proving to them that once we get out of our own way, anyone can
improvise!

TEENS IN COMMERCIALS
You see them on TV everyday, but have you ever thought
about what really goes into the making of a commercial? Find the answer
in this exciting and hands on class! You will read from actual
commercial copies, as you develop the necessary skills for hitting the
big time! Learn to act with and relate to various age groups, while
learning the delicate balance between fun and discipline.

ACTING I/II -
AGES 7-12
Your child will learn all of the basics, like enhancing
concentration, sensory awareness, and improvisational skills through
theatre games and exercises, scripted dialogue, techniques for stage
movement and diction, and end of year family night presentations. We
view drama as a powerful vehicle for developing self-expression,
self-awareness, and team-work. Acting for ages 7-12 is a 12 week session
which is carefully planned each semester to keep this class new and
exciting for the students.

ACTING I/II - AGES 13-17
Welcome to acting! Here you will uncover a whole new way
of looking at yourself, and your environment! You’ll learn all of

improvisational skills At the same time, focus on new ways to use your
voice and body, as you learn techniques for stage movement and diction.

ACTING I - ACTING
TECHNIQUES: Teens
You’ll find all of the essential clues right here! It
all starts with warm-up routines and exercises that will prepare you to
work on stage or screen. You will learn professional techniques for
concentration, stage movement, voice, speech, playing goals, and using
tactics. That’s a lot! You will discover that each step is crucial in
developing the essential skills to work a scene, and that acting’s not
such a mystery after all!

ACTING II - AGES 11-14
That’s right; this is where it all starts to fall into
place! It’s time to apply the skills that you’ve learned. Work with
partners on a scene, as you learn about the goals and tactics of a
character. Discover how to fight toward a VICTORY! Be creative, while
exploring place, time, and situations! If you’re a serious actor, this
class cannot be missed!

ACTING II - PLAYING THE
ROLE: AGES 14-17
This is where the puzzle pieces start to fit together!
You’ll begin by breaking down the communication process. Work with
partners, as you both learn to create relationships and use individual
tactics. You’ll perform actual scenes while learning to overcome
obstacles, and use positive expectations to reach your goal. This is the
heart of acting!
