Ian Driver, Acting/Directing
Ian Driver has 20 years experience as a theatre
professional. During many years with the Royal Shakespeare
Company in Great Britain, he appeared in contemporary and
classical roles including appearances in Oliver award
winning revivals of Pericles and The Two Gentlemen of
Verona. Alongside his stage work Ian has been seen regularly on film and television in England
and the United States, with frequent leading appearances on
PBS’s Masterpiece Theatre. A graduate of the prestigious
Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London, he is
completing an MA in Applied and Educational Theater Practice
at the Central School of Speech and Drama. A teacher of
contemporary and classical theatre practice at a number of
London’s leading conservatories, he was also an Adjunct
Professor of Acting for Syracuse University’s theatre
program in London, where he coordinated educational theatre
collaborations with London’s Globe Theatre. A freelance
actor and teaching artist in New York, he is a founder
member of the Prodigy Theatre Initiative and is currently
working on a site-specific theatre event in New York City.
