Suzanne Bedford Lawson, Acting/Vocal
Instruction
Suzanne Bedford Lawson has been a professional actor since
1982. Originally from Nebraska, Suzanne graduated from
Stephens College in Columbia, MO. with a BFA in Theatre Arts. Moving to NYC after graduation, Suzanne
had a successful musical
theatre career. She played opposite
of Tom Wopat as the sexy starlet, Mallory, in City Of Angels
on Broadway. Toured nationally and internationally with
Michael Crawford in the Music Of Andrew Lloyd Webber. Off
Broadway she worked with Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt on
their new work, Colette Collage. She also has worked in
regional theatres across the country. Her national and
regional television commercials ranged from the latest toys
to cars to laundry soap. In 1997, her twin boys, Ben and
Dean, were born. Suzanne decided to redirect her career into
teaching and sharing her love of theatre and music with
children. She has taught acting classes for children from
ages 8 to 18. She also teaches in an early childhood music
and movement program, Music Together, Inc. Suzanne lives in
Mahopac and continues to sing professionally in the area.
