Sal Prizio, Guitar
Sal is a fun loving guitarist with over fifteen years
playing and three years teaching experience under his guitar
strap. A graduate of Northeastern University with a degree
in Music Industry, he has honed his playing and teaching
skills as a professional musician in the modern rock group Evenstar based out of New York City. In addition to his ten
plus years touring and recording, he began teaching 3 years
ago as a way to further his experience with guitar. Sal uses
a unique teaching style that encourages students to bring
their favorite music to the lesson where he will break it
down, and teach guitar skills through those songs. Lessons
are often high energy and exciting for both student and
teacher. Put it best, Sal refers to himself as a music
coach. The lessons are taken seriously, but in a
lighthearted and fun way. After all its music, it should be
fun. Since relocating to Danbury, he has begun the Music
Works Guitar School, an independent guitar workshop that is
based on this unique teaching style. Shortly thereafter he
has partnered with; A Common Ground Community Center in
Danbury, The Boone Dog Café in Brewster New York, and the
New Centre for the Arts to offer his workshops in these fine
group settings. Everyone should have music in their lives,
and this is one fun way to do it! |
